This guideline provides definitions for terms such as "natural," "natural origin," "organic," and "organic origin; also describes how to calculate the natural and organic ingredient content in cosmetic products and describes the method for determining the percentage of natural and organic ingredients based on their origin and processing. Its goal is to establish a harmonized method for determining the natural and organic ingredient content, aiding consumers in making informed decisions and promoting transparency within the industry.
For this assessment, the manufacturers of the raw materials must provide information related to the composition, origin and processing of the ingredients.
